Ingredients
- 400ml water
- 4 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anise
- 1 small red chilli
- 3cm piece ginger, finely sliced
- 500ml orange juice
- 150g honey
- zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 2 oranges, chopped
Instructions
1 Combine the water, spices, chilli and ginger in a small saucepan and simmer until reduced by half. Pour in the juice, honey lemon zest and lemon juice, then simmer for 3 minutes, until aromatic.
2 Put the chopped orange pieces in tall glasses, then strain in the orange juice mixture. Serve warm.
